summer and binding
May. 28th, 2017 02:49 pmSummer is getting closer and closer.
What do you guys do during the summer?
Do you bind and try to just take the heat, not bind, or find alternative ways to bind?
I'm a smaller guy, 5'1'', thin, and my chest is about a 34A. I bind with gc2 compression tank tops if it isn't too hot out or if I know I won't be outside for too long. A lot of times, I'll just put band aids over my nipples and wear a Hanes X Temp t shirt (to help with sweat) under my regular shirt and it works well for me.

Date: 2017-06-04 11:17 am (UTC)I use gc2b and it gets very hot for my taste. But I also get used to it to some degree. I don't mind my binder showing, so I like wearing loose tank tops, and that helps with keeping acceptably cool. Oversized T-Shirts with cut off arms and neckline are also comfortable and don't show that much skin/binder (or any at all).
For the second half of last summer I didn't have a binder that fit me, so I wore sports bras. Comfort-wise, I actually prefer binders over sports bras most of the time though. They don't dig into the skin as much. I also wear sports bras for swimming, so when I do that, I simply wear them all day.
